Courses

At ICA Cristo Rey Academy, students are intellectually curious and take ownership of their learning.

The ICA Cristo Rey curriculum is designed to prepare students for success in college. Our faculty works closely with each student to help them develop a skill set focused on creativity, curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration. Our teachers create learning environments where all students feel seen, heard, and valued. Lessons are designed to encourage productive struggle, ensuring students gain confidence and are fully prepared for college.

The ultimate goal of an ICA Cristo Rey education is for students to graduate from both high school and college. Over their four years of high school, they will gain a deep understanding of themselves and the world around them. They will be equipped to think and act independently and will graduate knowing they have both the responsibility to fight for justice in our world and the tools to begin that work.

"I've grown and changed so much, but what stands out to me the most is how much more confident I've become over the years. A lot of this growth is thanks to my teachers. The skills I’ve learned in class have been incredibly useful outside of school. For example, in my AP Seminar class, I had to give weekly presentations and speak in front of the entire class. Those experiences helped me develop the confidence and skills to speak on the news, where I received many compliments. I often think, 'It’s because of that class that I was able to do this.'"SEQUOYA NAKAI '24
