ICA Cristo Rey provides students from underrepresented communities in the region with a rigorous college prep education and a unique Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) in which students work in over 95 companies in the San Francisco-Bay Area. Program fees paid by these companies enable the CWSP and ICA Cristo Rey to serve families that would not typically be able to afford a private high school experience.
About Cristo Rey Network
The Cristo Rey Network of 38 high schools delivers a career focused, college preparatory education in the Catholic tradition for students with limited economic resources, uniquely integrating rigorous academic curricula with four years of professional work experience and support to and through college. Cristo Rey partners with educators, businesses and communities to enable students to fulfill their aspirations for a lifetime of success: students are two times more likely to complete a bachelor's degree by age 24, compared to the total U.S. low-income population.
Over the past 26 years, thanks to the support and commitment of local community leaders and generous philanthropists, Cristo Rey has grown from a single high school on the South side of Chicago to a thriving nationwide network of schools that prepare students for college and life beyond.
