A New Pathway to Healthcare

First up in our summer highlights series: ICA’s exciting new healthcare partnership.

This summer, six ICA students became the first to participate in our new partnership with the University of San Francisco’s Certified Nursing Assistant Program. After successfully completing their classroom training at USF, they are now beginning clinical rotations at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, gaining hands-on experience as they work toward their CNA certifications.

And the opportunity doesn’t end there. This spring, the newly certified CNAs will bring their skills to Corporate Work Study placements at Sutter Mills Peninsula Medical Center, joining three ICA students already working there throughout the school year. Together, they’ll make up a cohort of nine ICA students gaining professional experience at Mills Peninsula.

We’re grateful to our partners at USF and Sutter Mills Peninsula Medical Center for helping ICA students take their first steps toward careers in healthcare.
