Business Lunch

The 14th Annual Business Lunch was a success!

Thank you for joining us at the 2024 ICA Cristo Rey Academy Business Lunch and celebrating our community’s “Spartan Hearts.” Approximately 600 guests gathered to recognize the students and this year’s honorees and raise an amazing $1.1M to provide a transformative educational experience for its young women leaders.

More than 50 students took on the role of youth hosts, welcoming guests during the reception and actively participating in the lunch event. Since September, these students have prepared for the Business Lunch in collaboration with the All Stars Project, enhancing their networking skills through improv and performance techniques.

This year, ICA Cristo Rey was thrilled to recognize Mary and George Lawson; Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy; and the Frank Heffernan Family. Student speakers Yorkabiel D. ‘24, Raphaela D. ‘25, Veronica L. ‘24, and Lesly R. ‘24 each spoke about their educational journey at ICA Cristo Rey and shared how ICA’s college prep education, Corporate Work Study program, and community has informed their hopes for the future.

We are most grateful to our outstanding student M.C.s, Gabi L. ‘24 and Morrei M. ‘24, and this year's event Co-Chairs, board members Maureen McCaffery Coleman and John Ring.

President Karen Kenkel shared that, 

"We offer our young women an environment to grow the confidence to engage their futures with boldness and that fierce Spartan heart. We are the most affordable private all-girls college prep school in the country, and the only one to incorporate a Corporate Work Study model. Our students have the opportunity to explore their passions, to cultivate their confidence in the classroom and the conference room."
